  • No, my sessions are not reimbursed by Dutch health insurance. If this might make it difficult for you to access therapy, please get in touch, and we will see what’s possible.

  • You can cancel or reschedule your session up to 48 hours in advance.

With less notice than this, the full session fee will be charged, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

  • Starting therapy can be a big step and finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is an important part of the process.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory call so we can meet, get a sense of how it feels to work together, and explore what brings you to therapy. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your wishes for the process.

You can arrange an introductory meeting directly or email me at hello@kimvassallo.com

  • If we decide to start together, the first few sessions are a space to get to know you, what matters to you, and what brings you to therapy at this moment.

From there, we shape the work together. Therapy is a space for exploration and awareness. Sometimes our sessions will feel supportive and insightful; at other times they may challenging or bring you into contact with difficult feelings. We will explore whatever emerges at a pace that feels right for you.

Along the way, we will regularly check in about how the process is feeling and whether it is supporting you.

Our work can be short-term or longer-term, depending on your needs, and will come to an end when you feel ready. When we reach this point, I recommend having a closing session, which can offer space to reflect on the work we’ve done and bring the process to a wholesome close.

  • Your experience of our work together matters to me and I encourage you to raise any concerns you have with me directly so we can explore how best to resolve them together. If, however, you want to make a formal complaint, you have the right to contact the independent complaints officer (Centraal Bureau Klachtenmanagement in de Zorg (CBKZ)) via klachten@cbkz.nl
